i picked this lens up last week and managed to get out to try it

A few shots with the A7+Samyang 14/2.8

This purchase is really in anticipation for the coming Pentax FF since I have the smaller option of CV12/5.6 for the A7, I have been pleasantly surprised by the performance of this lens at this sort of price.
Its also better than the CV12 for less work needed to take care of the vignetting (really strong on the CV12).

I wish Samyang would chip their lenses and develop dedicated FE mount. If they could work like the Zeiss Loxia with auto zoom as soon as you turned the focus ring, that would be excellent.

Sorry for not posting in a while. I have a large collection of unprocessed photos from Bangkok, Vivid, Newcastle plus I recently bought two new cameras - the Nikon J5 and the Sony QX1.

Anyway, here is a video I did during Vivid of the projection at Customs House - easily the highlight of the festival I think. Shot using the Voigtlander Nokton II 35mm at f1.2 - the lens lets in so much I am able to pretty much maintain 50fps with correct exposure.

I am really looking forward to getting the a7r Mark II and shooting 4K.
