Any recommendations for a light weight k to nex adapter?

I got one in the mail on Friday which is well made and fits well but is quite heavy.

There are few K to NEX adapters that have aperture control. They tend to bear the label of handling DA lenses. I have one from rainbowimaging costing about $25.00. Look for pentax K (DA) to NEX adapters in ebay.

All K to NEX mount seem to be heavy. If you have tried the Lens Turbo adapter, they are even heavier but the LT is a shorter adapter not as bulky as the regular K to NEX adapter. I have ordered the Kipon K to NEX with aperture control but I don't know if it is worth the extra money yet

Kipon K (DA) to NEX : Kipon Pentax K PK Mount Da Lens to Sony NEX E Mount Adapter NEX 6 7 A7 A7R 5R | eBay

Rosen K (DA to NEX: Pentax K PK Mount Da AF Lens to Sony NEX E Mount Adapter NEX 5 3 5R 6 7 3N VG900 | eBay

Cheers,
Hin

The DA*55 may well do like it - from what I can gather it is full frame compatible / acceptably so.

I use the Novoflex adapter - it has aperture control. No scale though, so no use if you need to set an exact f-stop. But for 'wide open' or 'close just a little to sharpen up' (i.e. my DA*300) it is fine. Clearly everyone looking here wants a fully automated adapter or - even better - a Pentax ff camera, but what we have at the moment is workable in many situations.

i don't want it to work in crop mode

It's just that it doesn't have aperture ring. And i hadn't seen adapter allowing to stop down lens.

Anyway, i need to fill up my money jar with ... 1450€

The Novoflex Adapter (expensive) has an aperture ring.

DPR have done a short review of experiences shooting old manual lenses on the A7. It makes for interesting reading. A highlight for Pentax users is that the reviewer appears to have a K 35mm f/2, and the results from it look very nice indeed.

Taken on Sony a7 (ILCE-7) with Novoflex adapter and Pentax FA 77mm LTD

All photos have been processed in Lightroom (some lightly, some quite heavily). I don't remember the aperture for most of them, but I shoot wide open or close to wide open most of the time.
