Caonamatica?

Ok, I was searching ebay for some gear, and found this:

Caonamatica Camera Bnwot Unwanted Gift | eBay

I can’t really find any details about it, but what on earth is a CAONAMATICA ?

It looks almost like a very, very, cheaply made instamatic mechanism inside a faux SLR housing?

Not to mention the name that suggests whatever factory made it had a vast excess of vowels and decided to use some up..

Interesting as a novelty but essentially a trash 35mm camera that is like a few of its ilk is designed to fool an inexperienced buyer into thinking it was a valuable camera. Often these cameras have weights added into their bodies to make them feel more 'substantial'.

I figured that was the case.

I wasn't considering buying it (it's much too ugly!) but was just curious what it was based on that crazy name.
