Picked up my wife's old A720IS Canon this AM. Macro mode is so easy on these cameras - the canon flash control is also simple! Backyard tulips.

Very nice, clarkey! I like those old Powershots - I have the SD1100 IS (and an older SD450), a little smaller than yours. They don't seem to break, have a viewfinder, and take decent images, including "macros". Fun little cameras You got some good shots there!

My first and ever camera, was actually a toy camera - Samsung S500. With no remorse I can tell you that little fella was full on features and character. Back then it was best bang for buck, as it goes! Auto mode was pleasant to use and delivered very good results for a 5MP PnS camera. Surprisingly the little fella had even full Manual mode - everything you were able to find on a DSLR of the same age.

My wife has given up on the Pentax dSLR I got for her.
Instead she prefers her Nikon P7000 compact digital...

Nice ones Paul. Love the buttercup! Looks like an old "box house"...do you know what a box house is....? Has to do with the construction method.

An old shot of Tino, taken with an ancient Powershot A430 (which still works!):
