Lovely scene. I have a small collection of old P&S's and I'll occasionally carry one around (along with my phone cam).

Here's one taken with a Panasonic DMC-SZ3, one of several of the various Lumix models that I have owned. The subject - an Oly 50mm f/1.8 on my X-T20. A friend found the Oly at a Goodwill "by the pound" outlet. When Goodwill can't sell things after a certain amount of time, they move them to a room where you can fill a bag with items and pay a per pound rate - around here, 59 cents for clothes, $1.19 for everything else. So this lens cost about a dollar. It has some fungus issues, not too bad, but maybe I will try to open it up and clean it. If I mess up, it's not like I destroyed some valuable relic. One nice thing about the Oly, it has the same 49mm front screwthreads as most Takumars, so it can use the same filters and lens caps.

The friend who found the Oly lenses in the Goodwill "by the pound" room went back and found a Lumix DMC-FH6. The battery was dead so he couldn't test it, but for $1.49 it was worth a chance. I checked my bag full of toy camera chargers and found one that worked. Here's a test shot of my usual rig, X-T20 and SMC Tak 55/2. I never cease to be amazed at the image quality produced by these old Panasonics with Leica lenses.

Sweet combination. X-T20 and cult classic Nikon E 50/1.8. Taken with a Panasonic DMC-SZ3.

Some test shots with the Lumix TZ70 that I was given for my birthday last week. What a fantastic little camera! I'm going to be using this thing a lot.

A couple with the Lumix TZ70 from a walk around Burrator. These are both scenes that I've shot a few times before with DSLRs, and I have to say that the results from the TZ70 stand up very well against the bigger cameras.

Looking good Dave - the colors and rendering seem quite nice. I find it somewhat liberating hiking about armed with only a simple point & shoot. Happy birthday, btw!
