Lovely set Rupert, love the landscape, make ours looks like boring fields..... almost got to live in Vegas with work but sadly I cant seem to sell my house!

Sadly I dont know a lot about American Steam, looks to be what we would call a Portable engine, these came before an engine could power itself and would be towed into place by horses. A mate of mine has a couple in his garden.

A few more from Tuckingmill.

Cheers, Steve

Wow, skank & Rupert - nice ones! I need to start planning a Big Bend visit one of these days - looks like April is a great time to head out there. Maybe next year? Here's one closer to home, using some digital IR filters on this Canon Powershot photo:

Paul....that's a really nice shot, I love the way it turned out! You sure enough need to visit the Big Bend area, it is fantastic scenery this time of year.

Skank....Yep, it is a machine to power other tools like saws and drills...so they told me. Nice shots from you...as usual!

Regards!

Time for a few more toy camera Spring shots - the first three were taken with a cheap Canon Powershot SD1100:

My wife shot this one with her Samsung phone:

Thanks Rupert - yes, it's a good one! My wife is a sometimes-Pentaxian, and uses her K100D occasionally. But 95% of her photos are taken with her phone. She has no interest in signing up for the Forums, but I'll be sure to post up some of her work. She's a jewelry designer, so she has a pretty good eye for color & composition.

Here's another with the Canon p&s:

Scrolling through all those beautiful flowers is making me jealous. We're still very much brown and dead looking but there are some signs that the world around us is coming back to life.

Buds on the lilac bushes. By this time next month, I will hopefully be posting the bush in full bloom. In macro made with the Lumix LF1 and cropped some too.

Most of the landscape is still dead leaves and brown grass but the hostas are beginning to break through the soil.

I haven't shot many pictures with any of my cameras lately. This time of year always puts me into a creative slump. It will be good to see green again!
