You know, the shape of that coast is not too different from the shape of one a LONG way away from there:
Where is that in the world? It's also very similar to Murlough Beach near Newcastle, Northern Ireland.
We've also got sand dunes on the south cost of cornwall, but not quite as big as the ones near Hayle. Hayle, Meixco, Upton and Gwitian Towans all run into one, I think it's around 3 miles long before hitting the next bunch of granite cliffs.

Cheers, Steve

This is Ruakaka beach, NorthlandN New Zealand. It's a mixed rocky and Sandy coast, and you are looking toward the entrance of Whangarei harbour, a pretty big natural harbour. My old stomping grounds, growing up.

Nice shot of Cottonmouth Creek! Water is all muddy around here too...looks like more rain today.

Yeah, I have a bit of that in me too (but I am a mutt). My parents now have a wonderful overlook over that harbour.

(Sticking with the toy camera theme - I wish Fuji would get their act together and make a decent pocket camera with a long zoom again)

Took the X30 to a Bunny Wailer concert Thursday night. Great show. The X30 did pretty well for a toy camera.

Nice shots Rupert, love those cute older homes. Great job on that Nutt House image, too! I took quite a few there with the girls, using the kit lens that day.
Here's Main Street on a busy Saturday with the X10:

and a doggie shot of Jeannie & her freshly-dug hole...

Thanks so much Rupert!

I love your house pics. That style of architecture really appeals to me.

Thanks Paul, Mr Bassie! They aren't my best x10 shots but they worked well enough to keep.

Was heading out the door to go eat lunch and caught this little Girly Squirrel eating one of Mrs Rupert's plants. She wouldn't budge, just kept on eating as we walked right by her.....Squirrels rule around here!

Geez - you better feed them some vegetables as well as bird seed - looks like a dietary correction!

They have more greenery and grain here than they could ever eat, but they always prefer the "Forbidden Fruit". It's how they are genetically, born to rob, steal, and destruct.
