Took the X30 to a show where I was subbing for the bass player of my old band. He played the first two songs then went to another gig. Here are a few from the first two tunes.
I can't see them

Fuji X10. Family place in France on a nice balmy night last week, with a Christo shrub thing. I'm back with the snow now. Grainy, but nice Fuji EXR image.

I'm back home and going through my Myrtle Beach vacation pictures from the past week. I did a good bit of shooting with the littler Lumix last week.

An early morning shot of Pier 14.

This construction project was interfering with everybody's beach walking this year.

The scene inside the Planet Hollywood restaurant on Monday evening. It wasn't crowded and I got quite a few shots.

All the stuff on display are all actual props and costumes from various movies.

"a Christo shrub thing" is that a reference to that artist fellow who wraps everything up?

The shrub looks interesting, is the light inside or behind?

Yes, that was the reference, and the light was underneath the cover. I did not ask what the plant was, but will. I hope to make it back in the summer anyway. It was interesting, and I thought the Fuji could capture it well.

Some more Lumix LF1 shots from Myrtle Beach last week. It was fairly warm and on Wednesday it hit 80 but all it took was a little sea breeze to cool the air along the water and bring in some fog.

This gull was polite enough to stand and pose.

Spring break. This is group of college kids doing a yoga workout on the beach.

Nice shots. I wonder if there will ever be an LF2. It would be nice to get the same thing but with a better EVF and rear screen. I'd even give up my TZ60

There are some issues such as the poor viewfinder and the very bad auto exposure performance outdoors on bright sunny days. It overexposes a lot, forcing you to make manual adjustments which kind of defeats the purpose of having a pocket-able camera for those quick shots. The viewfinder works but that's the best I can say. In all honesty, I get better and more reliable results from my iPhone 5s for any outdoor shots. The LF1 is excellent indoors and in low light. The lens is very good and the IQ is excellent if the camera meters it right.

It's a decent camera but could use some improving. The price wasn't bad but I really feel sorry for anyone who laid out the $699 for the Leica C which is the same camera with a red dot.The Lumix version is discontinued although old stock is still available. The Leica C is still around.
