These are just tree fungi that happen to resemble shells. Surely you must see this in your forests!

Blooming weeds at the bridge - Powershot SD1100:
Thought it might be a fungus, we have some over here but can't recall any that look so shell like.

There are lots of kinds of shelf fungi all over the world, more than a thousand species described so far according to Wikipedia. I'm sure you will find some even in the deepest, darkest corners of Cormwall

Edit: On second thought, Cornwall might not be the best place to look. The shelf fungus like old forests with lots of dead trees. The mining industry might not have left too much of that?

Snapped this one as I left the office today. The P10 once more, adjusted with Color Efex to get the lighting warmer and more dramatic (although not a whole lot - the overhead light masts provided the spotlight effect already).

Very cool I assume those are all bike-locking stations?

Yes, locking stations and artwork, I suppose. They don't leave too much space for cyclists and pedestrians to share, though! You can walk through the buildings on either side but have to take care as the only path left open to the cyclists is along the wall. But it does look cool

Throwing one in, because I havent, for a while. This bird is NOT dead. It was sunbathing. Its an unusual behaviour, but maybe not so much since I had a magpie doing the same thing in my back yard last year.
I've seen them have dust baths in the sand!

Oh yea we do get them, seen plenty of chicken of the woods, just not seen one shell colour before.

A long exposure with the P10. Placed the phone on the ground, leaning it against my rolled-up reflex armband. I prefer the b&w version, but post both. Processed with Nik's Color Efex (and also Silver Efex for the b&w one).

Huawei P10, nightshot mode, ISO100, f/2.2, 22s

Fabulous - and yes, the b/w is a bit better but not by much!

From a dogwalk the other morning with the iPhone 5:

This was taken in mid-October - one of the first signs of Fall I'd seen. Canon A560:
