No problem with Macro mode x1 <-> x3 (zoom), but the last one needs to move back a little to frame the subject. On the other hand the "x3 bokeh" phenomenon is weaker, but you know well the issues.

Got it al last! :)

I upgraded my Buster Debian's kernel (testing version) and X Window System (Xorg) exploded. No images on two monitors I use every day. Not thinking I've lost a lot of days searching for the cause. Only after downgrading kernel to Stretch (stable) I regained my system workable. D**n it! Before sleeping hours I managed upload two images commenting paulh's last post.

Have a nice Summer days!

Regards

Yeah, it was just a quick snap without much thought on composition .

Good to see another 'nix user At one point I was using the Debian-based LinuxMint rolling release version, but now have settled on the plain-vanilla ubuntu-based release.

Jeannie found a shady spot on a 100F evening (Canon SD1100 IS):

OK, I confess. I might have taken some shots with a Panasonic TZ100. There. The secret is out. I feel liberated.

I agree. I'm starting to think the 1" sensor is the ideal for those of us who don't print but who want a decent shot for online posting in forums etc.

Me also. Wisteria in its home range (India). This is the largest I've seen:

Thanks Sue. Yes, its nice, but it looks like it can get out of control pretty quickly! (as Clarkey's photo illustrates!)
