Otis is loaded with girlfriends and is not interested in your sample. Anyhow, he only goes with girly squirrels that shave their armpits and have loads of cash or roasted peanuts ...he is very particular!

Regards!

An ISO 12800 squirrel on this dark and rainy morning here....

I put out cobs of corn one year before our fence was built and the squirrels came and picked up the whole cob and ran off with it. I haven't put anymore out since that year.

Here's one from a few days ago getting some watermelon.

a standoff

jays get a bad rap as feeder bullies

we've found that any resident bird is territorial hence aggressive
however visiting birds tend to take their turns

we have nesting jays behind our barn that are absolute terrors
they fly in squadrons and assail any and all interlopers (we don't feed anybody down there)
last week I watched them mob a turkey vulture perched on the roof

any way...our little black squirrel flicked her tail a couple of times and this jay just sat and waited his turn

as I was posting this a new neighbor checked in

Neat to have a black squirrel, any little babies so far?

It is...see that squirrel clinging to it!

This little girlie came around today. She is not from around here, but was looking for an "Otis" squirrel. She has a certain glow, and a swollen belly....more child support for Otis to pay coming soon?

Regards!

Love those ears!!

Got three for Otis today.

First one was eyeing a bird in the branch of the persimmon tree. Sort of warning it not to try to get to his snack.

And the next two, I couldn't figure out why he was sitting with his tail in the air.

Looking good! TFS

Two this morning. This first one, I wasn't sure what he/she was doing. At first I thought maybe squatting to use the bathroom and thought you better not pee in my bath. He/she sat there for about 10 minutes.

Little one gets a snack of sap:
