Great shots as usual Norm...but that's kind of ugly the way you phrased it? Shooting handsome squirrels should be the #1 priority...for everyone.

BTW- Didn't mention it, but that doggie shot with the ball in his mouth was a fine shot too....I love your doggies, always have!

Regards!

Hey - I got one! I was just wandering at a small city park on Main Street, when I happened to see movement near my feet. I had about 2 seconds to snag this shot, as he was just getting ready to take off. Not well-composed or focussed, but it's a squirrel shot

This has been posted in some other threads.......but I missed posting it here where it belongs.

This is a little Newbie Squirrel, maybe 8 weeks old...and already he has learned "squirrel tricks" .....like getting in the feeder box and hogging all the feed to keep other squirrels from getting it. These guys are smart...in fact, squirrels are recognized as being among some of the smartest animals.

He stayed in that box even though it was 95F, for almost an hour and when he left there wasn't a sunflower seed in it that hadn't been devoured and stored in his fat little belly!

Note the soles of his little foot....this is the first time I have ever seen the soles of a squirrels foot...kind of neat! You should have heard him grabbing his little toes and saying "...this little piggy went to market.....".

Regards!

Squirrels love chilled apple slices on a hot day!

Puts a smile on their little faces!

Delicious!

"You got more mister?"....Yep, I sure did!

This squirrel needs no introduction.. she's my resident and she fights off all intruders to keep her offspring first in line at the food trough. What do you think Otis... how about Agnes for a name?

Sadly no photographic evidence, but it seems that a robin up here has taken to dive bombing squirrels that stop to nibble on a squirrel log that I have attached to a tree. Kind of funny. The robin would strike at the head of the squirrel and it would just keep nibbling on the log. No idea if war has broken out between robins and squirrels, but I thought that Otis should know.

Otis has a message for your Robin.....
Who killed Cock Robin nursery rhyme lyrics with origins and history

It takes more than a Robin to scare off one of Otis' Army squirrels......even the new recruits like this little Newbie have real manly (Squirrelly?) gonads! They fear nothing.....except going hungry!

Your squirrels are excellent Norm! I always enjoy them!

Mine are not as superb, but my squirrels are more skilled than yours.....they can sleep while on my "cheater branch".

(Don't try this at home- It is done by trained stunt-men type squirrels for entertainment purposed only)

"I can see you guys in there!"

So you added a branch? Is that for photographic purposes only?

Yes, only to get a better background bokeh with my Bigma. It has worked out pretty well so far.

Squirrels like it too...in particular if I put some peanut butter on it!

Regards!

EDIT: My sincere apology to all and in particular to Otis for posting a couple of worthless birds in a Handsome Squirrel thread. It was a mistake on my part and I promise it will never happen again. Otis assures me it had better never happen again.....and he ain't kiddin"!

Watch out, Otis!

My daughter found this one on Etsy:

Don't worry, it's stuffed.
