Some local squirrels seem to have obtained employment recently. In an ad that runs every night right after the weather forecast, a voice says "Don't give your house keys to just any squirrel" - then talks about the superior workers employed by a company that repairs heating & air conditioning systems.

First squirrel that I've seen in a few months. The feral cats must be on vacation!

Shots of same squirrel but first I've been able to do since I was sick. I set up my Manfrotto again because I'm waiting on a new ball head for the Bogen I bought.

Backyard Squirrel Munching on the Remnants of my Morning Apple.

Like me, this squirrel enjoys an apple in the morning.

Watch it you'll be like the rest of us, feeding them just so you can photograph them, Jer.

Now there's an idea. It's amazing how such a common animal that's been around us for all our lives can remain fascinating day after day!

That was the genesis of this thread - Rupert saw more than just troublemakers in those long-tailed animals.

Rupert loved posting his squirrel shots but some complained he was posting everywhere and anywhere, thus this thread was born. He could post here to his hearts content. And we carry on for him, even though he's no longer with us.

He was also a big supporter of this forum, even paying for new members so they could have site supporter status.
