Eventually he went off and looked for another source of food. The squirrel saw no reason to hurry - this is the squirrel feeder afterall
Excellent "Are you done, yet?" pose on the Jay. I love it!

It has been rainy around here, but the squirrels still expect me to feed them.
They will be very disappointed when I decide that nature is doing fine without my help.

I still miss Rupert. A man full of good cheer. In these difficult times, he would have had something upbeat to say every time he posted.

My showing up apparently changed things. The cat couldn't keep his eyes off me, and the squirrel dumped some corn on the cat until it left.

Some Squirrel shots from my archives

With some extra free time due to being furloughed because of the Coronavirus I have gone back and processed some old images.

It sometimes seems that squirrels have two categories of daily activity: 1) eating; 2) everything else.

This desperate guy managed to spill some of the bird seed apparently, but I inspected it afterwards and didn't see any real damage.
