Thanks. The squirrels usually ignore the birds, but not this time! Lovely town you live in. I used to drive through there on my way to and from Chicago.

"OK, so we're not squirrels. Come up anyway and try to look starving and abused for the photographers. Maybe they'll throw us some popcorn." SCAN

Thank you.
I had some friends who noticed only the Gary area in Indiana - because that is where they rolled up their windows.

Apparently someone - perhaps the Racoon - cleaned up under the bird feeder last night.
Usually the area has lots of what the birds have dropped, but this Squirrel had to really nose around to find his lunch there today.

Another lucky squirrel found a peanut-in-shell before the Blue Jays got to it.

I don't know the gender of my back yard friend so I named it Chris for short in case it's Christine.

I was 'late' again at filling the feeders, much to the shock and dismay of this squirrel.

It didn't take him very long to figure out that I was to blame for the lack of filling of the feeder.

Squirrel gymnastics

Squirrel gymnastics with K-1 and Zeiss Sonnar 135mm f 2.0. It is entertaining to watch how these little tree rodents can stretch and contort themselves in the on-going quest for food.

Even though it was snowing today, this squirrel provided an iconic squirrel pose.
