In a way, I'm jealous. I hardly ever see a squirrel at my house. Weird, since we live way out in the country, with trees everywhere. Maybe they don't like my yard. They're definitely around here. On the other hand, maybe it's a good thing they don't hang out in my yard after all the stories I've heard of Otis' followers causing destruction and mayhem...
Put out some black oil sunflower seed and they will come! Otis will dispatch a crew immediately!

Shot this guy today, he was adamant that he was not fat...said he was just "big boned" and muscular!

Regards!

I'm sure there are plenty of starving, orphan squirrels I could help.
Yes, this guy looks nice and healthy. Fat? No. He's pretty in the face...

Damn Stavri! Your poor squirrel is suffering from starvation too! Looks like you put out that corn just in time to save the little critter's life! Thank you from Otis! If you have any extra corn, Otis is still taking donations!

Don't forget! Squirrels need Vitamin C too!

Regards!

What do 12 week old squirrels look like? Well, if they are Otis' grandson, they look like this! Isn't he handsome! He already outweighs most grown squirrels, and look at that "equipment" he is carrying! Reminds me of his great grandpa Festus....anyone remember Festus?

Festus Squirrel----Festus started the clan...and Otis followed and started the Army of Otis....

Festus had some large "equipment"!

This little guy looks like a born leader! He has what it takes!

I haves some worries.....he's only 12 weeks old and already addicted to corn. These youngsters nowadays just don't know what addiction can lead to, do they?

Regards!

The squirrel in the top photo (Festus) sure has big nuts. I'm glad you're around to provide for them.

I looked through this thread yesterday, and last night I had a dream I was being attacked by squirrels. I do love squirrels, specially small squirrels like the Douglas squirrel.

Love every one of those Norm...the lighting is spectacular, you nailed them! Isn't that a cute little fellow!

Shot a few myself today.....

Just a baby and already fat! Hard to believe he is a "starving orphan squirrel" isn't it!

This little guy was so proud to show me that he had thumbs too!

You want squirrels? We got squirrels...

If you go to Toronto and get to high park, it's full of black squirrels, there seem to be precious few pictures of them here. I think this guy must have come up to my place on the back of a truck.

You really want squirrels ...you come to the Woods of Otis. Recently my Mom visited and noted that the woods never lost their Fall leaves, every tree was loaded. Look again Mom! Those aren't leaves, those are squirrels!

Regards!

See that big leaf on that tiny limb!

Wow.. impressive! Since flying squirrels are nocturnal, I didn't think anyone here would have photos of them. Next challenge, get one gliding.
