Too funny, one of Tess' ex had a taxidermied coyote. We've several time thought it would be good to take it hiking and use it to create interest in our photos.

Use of such a model would allow time to reset the camera and/or switch out lenses

Read the website! It says don't ask for any tasteless poses... Like mounting a stuffed squirrel on a laquered chunk of wood for decoration??

Oh just so everyone can breath easy, the squirrel involved in the shooting incident at our house is fine.

They always have their mouths full, it's hard to catch them when they don't have something in their mouths.

I was wandering around today with a Super Tacumar 300mm mounted on my K-30 when this one insisted that I photograph her.

The college where my wife works has lots of black walnut trees - and thus lots of squirrels - so I went looking for one to photograph today.

At one point I was watching three of them, but I could barely get two of them in focus

I watched as one dug a hole, deposited a walnut in the hole, then put the dirt back, patting each pawful down {I'd never seen that before}.

The real bonus came as I headed back to my car, and found one waiting for a bus

I said I'd wait too, but her reaction seemed to be "Leave, already".

Eventually she seemed to be reconciled to my not leaving right away, and started grooming herself as a cat would {I'd never seen that before either}

I was testing out a new (to me) camera today, an OMD EM10 and trying out some of my favorite lenses on it. A squirrel was in the back corner of my garden helping himself to a few ears of corn I left on the stalks.

Just a quick shot using the EM10 and my favorite lens, a TAIR 300mm F4.5 photosniper. This is a 600mm equivalent lens on this small sensor camera. Shot in not the best light (shade with bright light in the background.
