My yard, what little I do have, is just too small.
our yard is miniscule as well

we plant for various species (trees, bushes, grasses and flowers)
geographically segregate our feeders
provide recirculated water year round

on a slow day we will have 10-15 species stop by
during migration peaks we will see upwards of 30 species in the backyard

it isn't cheap but the return on investment is high

if you start slow and add as you can afford it you will be amazed at what comes around
we have almost as many kinds of visitors on our half lot in town as we do on 36 acres in the country

give it a try

I'm down in Niagara Falls, so, my squirrels are living on saved rations. Mean while, I got some photos of black and grey squirrels.

With a crab apple in his mouth....

Our neighbor cut a large 200 year old tree from their yard this week. It was split and a danger in high winds. My squirrels weren't happy and disappeared for a few days between and after the tree cutting. They came back today.

Meet "Peter" named by my 3 year old great grand niece. I think "Peter" was an animal she saw on TV.
I took this very recently and printed it for her so she could take her "friend" home and paste it to the wall in her bedroom.
She really thought her "friend Peter" had come to visit with her - sometimes I really envy a child's innocence.

Every day in the blind deserves at least one squirrel image. Here's today's
K-1 and Tamron SP AF 300 2.8 ED {IF} (why didn't they just name it Joe?) and F 1.7 AF Adapter.

When we went south, we were surprised by how big they were, I had to back up sometimes.
On a sadder note, there isn't a chipmunk to be found. The weasel that was living under my shop must have cleaned them out and moved on. For sure there were way to many, but, he usually leaves us a few. They need to be just a little bit smarter those chipmunks. I notice there's still quite a few squirrels (including the two I'm most familiar with). Chipmunks just seem to be weasel food here. As soon as I start to think there's to many, the weasel turns up an stays for a week or two.

To a weasel, chipmunks are a fast food addiction.

Caught this one this morning. I haven't seen any squirrels around the feeders in the last couple months.
DA*50-135, from the "blind"

Hmmmm, what's up here?

Oh, that's where you moved my treats!
