Wish I could help! I can only offer an old shot from a couple years ago - better than nothing

since you asked

a melanistic fox squirrel...unusual here
if it's black most often it will be a grey squirrel vagrant...smaller and the fox squirrels don't tolerate them very well
taken with worst lens I own

and just for you a real winter squirrel
yes...if it's gonna be cold, it might as well be white!

Thanks to you guys for coming to the aid of squirrels looking for more photos! Add as many as you like, we have lots of room!

Regards & Thanks!

I'll try to get some shots today....most of them are still drunk and disorderly and still celebrating the New Year......what they call "The Year of the Squirrel".

Where are you squirrel guys? We need more squirrels here!

Squirrels here are praying for more of that sap from the Peanut Tree....

"Oh Great Peanut Tree god, in your almightyness please let the sap flow once again!"

Regards!

Nice! I'd love to have some black squirrels and some white ones too. My helper says he has a white squirrel near his place on the other side of town, but it sounds like not a natural white...maybe an albino? Heck, I like most any kind of squirrel!

Regards!

I've been sick with the flu and haven't shot any squirrels since before Christmas. Soon as I can get well and am feeling better, I'll shoot some for you and Otis, Rupert. For now, I'm stuck in the house.

Get well Photolady! I had the worst case of bronchitis I have ever had for a month...am just now barely over it. Horrible...I drank nearly a gallon of Nyquil just to sleep at night during that month.

We will be here waiting for you...Otis sends his best wishes for your speedy recovery!

It's easy to make a squirrel smile....peanuts will do it every time!

"Yes, it was delicious!"

Regards!

BTW-Otis is burning a raccoon tail for you in his little sacrificial urn. He says it will release "curing spirits" to help you heal.
May be...but it stinks to high heaven! I have no idea where he got the tail, and don't want to ask or know the story.....
