I'd like to take credit for sending Otis the orange but I didn't send him any oranges.
Otis stands by his statement, and says you just don't want to make other critters jealous!

Today's catch wasn't great. They didn't show up until late this evening and then the feral cat showed up, they ran. I chased the cat off but it was too late to have them come back.
I managed to get this one and shot with the Sigma 400mm with manual focus.

It is a nice shot for sure Photolady.....after a day of reading fine print in a legal document my eyes were a little weak so I lightened it up so I could see it better...it is a really nice shot! She is a lovely little girly squirrel.....Otis requested her phone number.....

He claims that he can tell by the "look in her eyes" she is dreaming of Otis! He says that about all the girls!

BTW- That's a nice lens, great for getting closer for wildlife.
Stray cats.....got plenty here and have to keep an eye out my windows for them. Just ran one off minutes ago this morning.

Regards!

I could have lightened it but that would change the naturalness of it. It was that dark in the yard.
As for the feral cats, I use a pump BB gun but yesterday I hadn't used the gun in ages and the cocking lever was froze up. I had to wait for my nephew, who's stronger than me, to help when he got home. I only pump it three times so it just stings but doesn't puncture them, just like a bee sting. I had one show up today, shot with the BB and he scampered off.

Otis wanted to see the "Otis" in her eyes......

I have a BB pistol, just gives a good sting. I seldom hit one but when I do the sound of the gun is enough to keep them form wanting to hear it again!

I have a few tennis balls and a couple racquetballs I fling at the cats. Never hit one, but when the ball hits the fence by them, they are gone in a flash.

That's probably why my shoulder hurt a couple weeks ago...

Seems we have a new stray cat...or two...around here everyday.

The shock of finding the sap is gone!

How dare those darn cats!

Been awhile since I had a chance to photograph the squirrells. They just do not come around my house much anymore. These are from the sculpture park last summer one night when walking back. The park was closing and the sun was going down so I could only grab a few quick shots. Not much light so ISO was 1600.

Lookin' good to me! I see he had a little itch......and maybe his girlfriend nibbled on his ear a little too long?

A few of a neighborhood squirrel that lives downtown

He was a pretty tame guy since he lives in a nice neighborhood. That was a good thing since I didn't have my 55-300 WR with me and my Tamron 90 was my longest lens.

These are all some good shots and highly appreciated! You may notice the many shots where they have their little paw across their hearts? I asked Otis about this and he said it is "standard procedure" for squirrels to "Cross their hearts and swear to lie."

I should have known that!

Regards!
