Nice ones Norm! Otis popped out to take a peek at them and gave his approval.

JC...Ever notice how they get a good treat and go way out on a skinny limb to enjoy it...where others can't get to them? Smart little critters aren't they!

Weevil...that is a fantastic close portrait. Excellent detail and clarity! Otis asks if you are interested in being the Official Shooter for his Army of Squirrels? He is dissatisfied with his current shooter....me.

Regards!

Weevil - that's a great shot!
Well, here's a couple taken with a p&s camera. They are definitely not good, but I made do with what I had. Cropped for magnification & focus is way off, but I'm posting anyway. This little guy was giving me an earful one day at the park - letting me know my dog and I were not welcome there!

I'm sure he'd be giving me the "middle finger salute" if he could!

Yep, he was not happy to see you Paul! Next time bring a bag of roasted peanuts and he will settle down!

Paul, there are no "bad" squirrel shots...they are only a few bad squirrels!

Regards!

This could be the legendary "Green Hulk"....or it could be just a squirrel that found an apple slice and hid in the bushes to eat it?

I'm happy to report that "squirrel hunger" has been eradicated in the Woods of Otis! Thanks to all the generous contributions to Otis' fund for starving squirrels, not a one here is underweight or hungry.

Keep those contributions coming! Otis reminds that winter is only 8 months away, and we don't want a shortage of winter feed!

Regards!

That's a very good flash shot. I have great difficulty shooting squirrels with flash, but you did good with that one!

Here is just a plain old "happy squirrel" that just stole a few peanuts from another squirrel and took them high in a tree for some privacy.

Regards!

REMEMBER:The Big Squirrel Frenzy is coming in late May or early June! Save all your squirrel shots!

There are squirrels over by the food markets and in some local parks but as many animals as I see here otherwise I never see them in our park. It's a curious thing because outside our park they are all over the place but I think I can count on one hand the number of squirrels I've seen here inside the park. They should love it here. There's tons of trees and lawns to play on and the people here do put out bird seed and so forth. But nope, they avoid this park like the plague and I can't help but wonder why...

I asked Otis about this, and he said the park is haunted. He wouldn't elaborate, but advised that you stay clear of it or at least visit in a crowd.
You can thank him by making a generous donation to his Starving Squirrel Fund....which incidentally, will also protect you from hauntings in that park!

Regards!
