Thanks Rupert, not sure about his ear. I do know that the sculpture park does take measures to keep the population under control. However I am not sure if they actually mark their squirrells. I know in the part they have captured and released them in out of the park. This is one more of the same little guy.

Do you mind, I'm trying to enjoy my dinner here.

Not often, but they do get into some awesome fights with each other and the ears are a favorite target. Around here most ear damage is caused when some little girlie squirrel asks Otis to "nibble on my ear"........and he gets carried away!

looked out to see if the dogs needed in

this guy was in full on st. vitus dance mode

took a couple of quick shots then grabbed a spotting scope
he was contending with a very combative mouse or vole

first time for everything, I suppose

They don't like trespassers! Anything that threatens their nuts is an unwelcome intruder!

"Anyone wanna talk?"

there is snow and colder weather coming tomorrow

everybody is cranky and territorial

this guy had just duked it out with a scourge of starlings when another squirrel showed up

It looked as though his kungfu was strong, though

Hey Norm...this book is fantastic. So much about squirrels that I never imagined. It is going to take a while to read it all, it is a thick book. When I do maybe I will loan it to you for your reading pleasure if you are interested? It is very well written and scientific in an everyday sort of way I can easily understand......I like that!

Regards!

Maybe we should make it required reading for everyone in the group. The travelling squirrel book. I bet I could et an image of a squirrel appearing to read it.
