...Ha! And I thought driving on the wrong side of the road was a worry 😂😂 I'll look out for them...
maybe you should go to Rupert's Rancho Deluxe...

a road trip that would expose you to acrobatic armadillos leaping from the melting macadam into the path of visitor's vehicles

enjoy your visit

Here in Oz, we have possums instead and they're nocturnal!
Yep, we have possums here and they are mostly nocturnal too. They look different from yours, but are still possums!

Here are a few shots...this was my little shop buddy for a few days, he came in for the cat food and stuck around.

A mature Mama possum.

We have armadillos here too..though I rarely see one.

And raccoons galore! ....Mama and her four babies.

They can look fierce, but they are really just friendly Teddy Bears....friendly and no mean streak.....as long as you don't harm their babies. They are awesome powerful and will fiercely defend their offspring...very capably!

Mostly they just wait around patiently for dinner to be served every night!

More critters that roam around my place here: Critters | Flickr

And here:Critters | Flickr

I think you have more variety in animals than we do, but we do have quite a few. Hope you enjoy your trip here....squirrels are everywhere, I could sure spare a few dozen for you to take home with you!

Best Regards!

We have all of what Rupert posted but I haven't been able to catch them with the camera here. I photographed the possums when I lived in Arkansas and one year I raised a just born possum from bottle to full grown. Then returned him to the wild. His name was Squeaky and he rode on my shoulder, defending me against all comers.

Pretty neat Photolady! My little shop buddy hung around a couple of days then went back in the wild. He was no trouble, just sat in the window sill and watched as I worked. He did like dinnertime!

A few shots this morning of the "Jumper Squirrel". He is a Newbie and loves to climb and jump more than most squirrels.

"I want to scope out the territory this morning."

"Sure hope that sap will flow again soon!"

"Damn! Someone has a gun to my belly!"

"False alarm.....but you can't be too careful!"

"This is a job for my chainsaw teeth!"

"Maybe I'll just gnaw the whole damn thing off?"

Fun little guy, he really knows how to enjoy life and makes it all so exciting!

Regards!

I always knew living close to a Nuclear Power Plant could be a hazard, it's making the Squirrels do strange things.......

Can't do without it here, I'd be dead in a few days for sure....high humidity and soon to be in the upper 90sF is merciless in Texas!

My A/C man ( a young man that once worked for me when he was only about 14 as a cleanup helper) came and got' er done! Nice and cool in here now.....so I got my one shot for today.....and wouldn't you know, it's a Newbie Squirrel! He said he would pose and give me some nice bokeh...and he did! Cute little guy!

Regards!

He said he wants to be a Pro model someday like the Jumper Squirrel.....he may just make it!
