Threw peanuts yesterday, this one grabbed one and took off.

Today they got sunflower seeds and peanuts but this one preferred the sunflower seeds.

I couldn't see what he was watching out for, I didn't hear any hawks in the area.

this guy isn't worried about hawks

he is raiding the 3 acre plus enclosure for the Chimpanzees at the Kansas City Zoo

they hunt raiders and have been know to capture them and push them through the enclosure's fences as a "gift" to the keepers

[ another of the photos taken today with the new lens I acquired today, more practice will be needed ]

Old Squirrel Shot

I've been digitizing some old negatives and slides taken back when I was shooting film with Pentax cameras, starting with the SPF. I came across this one taken with a Pentax ME in 1979, with a Sigma 70-210mm zoom (I think!). Seems a little close to have been taken with my 55mm ƒ/1.8 prime, but who can remember? Anyway, it was taken at Half Moon Bay in San Francisco when I was out there on business for a month or so. And, no, I didn't supply the nut!

Imagine this! 119 pages of people posting pictures of squirrels. Maybe I should come out of my box and have a look at them.

Those are some really skinny squirrels you have there, maybe you should feed them. Then you can will be like me and Rupert, slaves to squirrels.

This one seems quite happy to have just Sunflower Seeds:

Shot with my new to me, Sigma 400mm f5.6 MF I bought last week from another forum member.
