Aww, a baby squirrel...

I took the DA*300 to Reservoir Park with Tara Bassett and The Puppy Pack and crossed trails with Cindy, who owns Lincoln, one of the most photogenic dogs I know. Cindy brought it to my attention that my DA*300, a paparazzi lens in her words, might be able to photograph some baby squirrels she and Lincoln spotted in another area of the park. If so, I knew where to post them.

I know there isn't enough food on the ground when the squirrels start walking the wire to get to the hanging feeders. This little guy thinks I'm his mom, he doesn't leave when I come. I have to bang the feeder with a stick near him to get him to leave.

Ha! The last time I saw Cindy at the park she told me she thought the DA*300 was a phallic symbol. Told me twice, after I pretended not to hear the comment the first time. She might be trying to get my attention or imply I’m compensating for something.

Got squirrels in the yard again. I've been feeding the birds with seed has corn bits in it cause brat brother said I should feed ever day. And squirrels like corn, so they've come back, in droves. He said he counted 15 yesterday morning. LOL

Here's one getting a drink in the afternoon when it was about 89 degrees outside.

Usually I go out and photograph birds and a few squirrels while waiting for birds to turn up. Today I devoted some time to the squirrels. Altogether there's about 7 out there including at least a couple of very young ones.

K-3 and DA 55-300 PLM, hand held.

He sees me coming and is trying to escape the "squirrel proof" feeder.

It's a tough go apparently.

Checking out the action from a nearby tree.

And from another nearby tree.

I don't know why you even go in there dude, the sunflower seeds are just as good over here.

That dude is crazy.

Young gray munching on a silver maple seed.
As always, there's plenty of these whirlybirds to go around.
