I found a way to feed them peanut butter that doesn't annoy my brothers.

They like peanut butter sandwiches too.

And one more that would fit two categories:
Squirrel shares space and sunflower seeds with Female Northern Cardinal;

This squirrel was taunting the dogs at Reservoir Park. My dog finally learned that when a squirrel runs to the far side of a tree it runs UP the tree and not in a straight line away from the tree.

Two photos from last Spring - this squirrel spent more time making sure no one was sneaking up on him than he spent eating. I kind of guess he wouldn't trust me to watch his back,

We often see the chaos created by squirrels, but Rupert showed us a different way to look at them, as fellow mammals who have to live partly by their wits. One of the reasons dealing with them is so frustrating is that they are so clever, and he 'humanized' that aspect of them,

A couple more from last Spring: most of the squirrels around here are the large "fox squirrels" who are supposed to live in this "border" region - but this little guy moved into the area, and he seems to be as aggressive as needed to get "his share" of the goodies I put out - and I like his attitude towards life.
