I saw several yesterday on a walk in the woods but carrying only the 50mm with me they were too far for photo ops.

JC...Ever notice how they get a good treat and go way out on a skinny limb to enjoy it...where others can't get to them? Smart little critters aren't they!

Weevil...that is a fantastic close portrait. Excellent detail and clarity! Otis asks if you are interested in being the Official Shooter for his Army of Squirrels? He is dissatisfied with his current shooter....me.

Regards!
LOL! thanks for the offer, but I think you do an excellent job to promote the squirrel world!

Thanks Weevil...I am forced to do it or die...according to Otis.

Franc...That's a neat shot...what ears they are! I wanted Otis to comment on your shot, but he was cracking (and eating) pecans all morning and he just wore out, he could hardly hold his head up. I think he ate his own weight in pecans today?

Regards!

Remember!......Big Squirrel Frenzy coming in a few weeks! Shoot some squirrels, save your shots!

Bless your little heart Chippy....it is admirable that you want to be a big squirrel like Otis and his Army squirrels, but it's not to be! However, you are still most welcome in the Big Squirrel Frenzy coming up in a few weeks. Otis says you are eligible to join the Otis Scouts, for youngsters that want to train for Army service when they are grown. Who knows, maybe you will put on a few pounds and fit right in? All it takes is the right food, and plenty of it!

Regards!

My big brother up close and personal.
Taken with a Q at 560mm, about 20 feet distance, full frame.

Rupert Why was Otis at the Players golf tourney?

Rupert, can't you control your squirrel? Why was Otis at the Player's Golf Tourney and what was he doing?

He mistook "nuts carrying bags" for nuts in bags and wanted to check it out!

Speaking of nuts......Sometimes a squirrel has to just "let 'em all hang"!

Wildman, That's a neat close up shot with the Q! Otis approves, and said to be sure and save your shots for the coming Big Squirrel Frenzy!

Regards!

Really nice shots of that cute little fellow Norm! Otis says they are just miniature squirrels with racing stripes!

About half the size of "real" squirrels?

Or about the same size as this newbie squirrel?

But nowhere close to the size of this mama squirrel!

That's all folks!

Keep those squirrel shots coming, what this world needs is more squirrels and less squirrely people!

Regards!

Yesterday, only one good one... I think I blew my chance to be Otis' squirrel photographer of the year. Rupert will claim that honour for the gazillienth year in a row.

Norm, he's a happy looking little guy! Must be eating well! If Otis could replace me with your fine shooting skills, I'd be dead meat before daylight!

I didn't get much myself today.....but I did get this little newbie squirrel.....he's just too cute! He looks like a little mouse! ...not that squirrels are kin to rats and mice, I'd never suggest such a thing!

digitalCG- That is great shot of a really handsome little tiny fellow! He has great colors, and he looks happy too! I love to see happy squirrels!

Regards!
