A 4 camera FF line up, D610 D750 D810 D4s

Bit crowded... But if the D750 got faster focus/frame rate for action then maybe it's got a reason to exist

If the rumored 750 is truly a "sports" camera with 24mp, it will probably need a faster processor and shutter than used in the 810. The 750 potentially cannibalizes D4S sales.

Idle thought: If the 810 sensor and firmware supported 2x2 binning it would make an amazing, selectable high-res/action/low-light all in one camera. Binning the 36mp 810 would still leave 9mp, not much in the "megapixel wars", but plenty for astrophotography.

Hm, this camera also looks pretty compact for a full frame, no?

Who knows? Without any images it's hard to tell... Though I wouldn't be surprised if it's D810 -- the image at the top of the article -- sized.

The 810 is moving 36MPs. Drop that down to 24MPs and the processor should be 8fps which is plenty or a mid-level sports camera. This camera could be the perfect blend between the D610 & 810. If it has the 810 AF and build quality with the D610 size and 24MP sensor they would have a camera that hits a sweet spot.

I think most Pentax users are hoping for a 24MP FF in a K-3 sized body and would love the D810 AF. In many ways the D750 is the camera many Pentaxians are looking for.... Just the wrong mount.

It looks like the same size as the D610.

Look at the file name. (Or inspect the img element on the page and look at the text in the "alt" attribute.) That top image is a D810, not the rumoured D750.

I don't think Eric "forgot" about the Df - perhaps he thought the camera had "no reason to exist?"

Boom boom. Better run away and hide now.
