Idle thought: If the 810 sensor and firmware supported 2x2 binning it would make an amazing, selectable high-res/action/low-light all in one camera. Binning the 36mp 810 would still leave 9mp, not much in the "megapixel wars", but plenty for astrophotography.
The 810 is moving 36MPs. Drop that down to 24MPs and the processor should be 8fps which is plenty or a mid-level sports camera. This camera could be the perfect blend between the D610 & 810. If it has the 810 AF and build quality with the D610 size and 24MP sensor they would have a camera that hits a sweet spot.
I think most Pentax users are hoping for a 24MP FF in a K-3 sized body and would love the D810 AF. In many ways the D750 is the camera many Pentaxians are looking for.... Just the wrong mount.
