Decent Pocket Compact - LX7 or RX100?

I have a K-30 I am very happy with, an MX I am getting to grips with, and a GR that I am finding quite tricky to use in a variety of circumstances. I had hoped the GR would provide the 'packet camera' that I could ALWAYS have with me just in case I needed something.

However, as a fixed lens camera, and no shake-reduction, I'm finding it a dream for carefully constructed shots, but really not the right piece for instant spur of the moment pics.

I've been looking at the Panasonic LX7, and the Sony RX100. I've read countless reviews that place the Sony way ahead but, after playing around in the camera shop, I found the Sony far too fiddly, and the LX7 just beautiful to hold.

LX7 has a relatively low spec, but is still quite new and has Leica design influence. Anyone spotted (or know of) any obvious flaws in the LX7? Or know of anything else I should be considering? I'm looking for: small, RAW-capable, Av/TV/M/P positions.

thanks in advance.

I got a Panasonic LF1 recently. Same sensor as the LF7, RAW etc, but a longer optical zoom (Leica) lens. I need the zoom range. Leica has its own version of the camera. I like it so far. It is truly pocket-sized.

I had the LX7, sold it, and have been regretting it. If I found one for, say, $200, I'd probably buy it. The lens is wonderfully sharp. It's high-ISO performance isn't as good as the latest premium compacts (event those with 1/1.7" sensors) but that sharp, fast lens makes up for it IMO.

The handling is fantastic and it feels great in the hand. The multi aspect-ratio switch is cool, too.

I'm waiting for the LX8 announcement.

Thanks to all for comments so far, love the cats!

To be clear, when I said I have an MX, I did mean an old film camera. I see the MX-1 is tumbling in price, but suspect it is too big. But thoughts on the MX-1 as a small compact also welcome.

I also have the Lumix LF1. Pretty good and truly a pocket sized camera and with a viewfinder although the VF is pretty low res. The LX7 is bigger overall and is more of a "jacket pocket camera".
