One of my best acquisitions ever

Just recieved my new metz AF 52 in the mail the other day! Gotta say the sound of the autozooming is amazing. I struggled with a cheap $50 walmart manual zoom where you have to calculate the correct focal length based on some math equation or something that is pretty much way over my head. So, this is pure bliss. Its beautiful.

Also found a nice cheap diffuser for only $7. Is that a touch screen on the back? Oh yes it is

The other thing about this that i really love is that without even adjusting a single setting. Not one single setting. I was able to get great shots. Literally just put it on my camera and bam all ready to start taking kick ass shots.

Nice score. Looks good on the specs.

But what's the difference between 'Spotbeam' mode and 'AF beam' mode in the 52 AF?
The two modes seem the same.
