How important at the Changes In the A7II?

I can pick up an A7 with kit lens for a very good price. I cannot afford the A7II right now. I would be curious what users of the A7 would advise. Is the A7II improved enough to wait 6 months or will I get good service from the A7 I can afford right now? Most of my use will be with adapted lenses so I am very much attracted by the A7II IBIS. Us of the Pentax K5s and K3 have accustomed me to the help. However, I shot film 35mm for almost 40 years and never knew I needed it. Thanks for your thoughts on the two models..

Edit- I am familiar with emount from having used Nex 5,6,7 and A6000 extensively. I loved the A6000 focus help with my M*300.

5-axis IBIS is amazing. I haven't used the A7II IBIS, but judging from Olympus 5-axis I'm sure you'll be happy.

If you want body seals along with the ISIS IBIS, it would be good to wait.

And some server in Maryland keeps track of every time you do it.

BTW, I think in-body stabilization is completely worth the wait, but that's because I won't buy another camera without it (my Sigma SD1 bites me in the butt all the time due to this lack).

To me as a PONY user, it does not fix the main problems and irritations of the A7 series.
IBIS has always been a 'good to have' but not a deal breaker to me.

I would stick with a used A7 for the low price they are going for now.

Just like a MZ5n I used years ago with the nice small Pentax lenses.

I really enjoy the A7 with my old MF Pentax lenses. I'm and old film shooter used to using ISO 400 for available light, so being able to use the A7s higher ISO range means I don't care about IBIS. My main digital is Leica M9, which also has no IS. While I have seen the benefits with my K-5, it's not a deciding factor to me. I use the A7 a lot more than my K-5 now.
