Nikon J5 - Anyone else impressed?

I thought the J5 body + lens was smaller than a similar performing Sony + lens. (?)

I've considered adding a Nikon 1 body + 70-300mm lens to get me out to 800mm (equivalent) and not add a ton of weight to my kit.
I would still keep my Pentax K-3 + DA* 60-250mm to cover everything under 380mm (equivalent).
May need to rent this first to see how it performs.

I am going to Bangkok soon and I am carrying the following kit:

Nikon 1 V2
SB-N7 speed light
6.7-13mm wide angle zoom
18.5mm prime
10-100mm super zoom (this is the lightweight version, not the heavy one with power zoom)
70-300mm ultra telephoto zoom

All in a package that is lighter and smaller than DSLR with 1 lens.

If I see the J5 in Bangkok, I may buy.
