The K-s1, a much made fun of , or maligned camera.. try not to tell anyone how good it really is , I want to get another , sometime . ...
I gave mine away .... why do I do that .....

I did research the X-T2, along with the rest of the T line, and the X-H1 as well....

I'm not enamored with touch screens, so the X-T3 did not really interest me, and the rest of the T line actually have worse/smaller magnification in their EVF's.... so the X-T2 is what kept coming up....

this is a continuation of the Adaptist project that I began with a K-S1 awhile back, but without the limitation of the K-mount/mirror box....

that being said, I loved my K-5 IIs - I had this one for two years and nearly 30,000 shots, but needed/wanted to fund the next camera...

the K-S1 is possibly the most un-ergonomic camera I've ever held..... but the sensor is sweeeeet......

I kept the K-S1 vs the K-5 IIs on the strength of the sensor alone - it's my fully manual M42 body now...

Congrats,its a fine camera.

Now,IF you are inclined to AF down the track, dont be afraid of the XC(plastic mount ell cheepo glass),its very good.

Theres a freedownload of CaptureOne lite as well, dont bother with lightroom unless its a very recent version.

T2 has all the necessary filmSims, have a look at YouTube where theres plenty of comment and variations.Kevin Mullen has some unique types.
Hi Surfar.
I have checked this CaptureOne lite ... is this it here: Free photo editing software for Fujifilm ?
It's says "Express" ... I thought I'd ask.

Thanks!
I too shoot mostly JPEG's but it's always nice to have a piece of software that can handle Fuji's RAW files.

Hi, there. I've been ripped to shreds on other areas of this forum for suggesting Fujifilm raws are any good, and it really is all about the software when it comes to landscape details.
The free Capture One Express is excellent, as are Irident, Darktable and Raw Therapee. I've not used others, but I personally avoid Adobe products, even in 2020.

Separately, I recently had the pleasure of printing a 13x19" colour print from a JPG, and it was so good I wonder why we (mostly) bother.

I've had people try to talk down to me about my shooting of jpg's 100% of the time - and I tell them to stick it....

use the workflow that works for you - I'm not taking photos for other people - this is my hobby and it works for me....

Here's one I shot in raw and then used the in-camera converter to turn it into a jpg. Sometimes the converter is better than anything I can do with RawTherapee.

On a broad reach down the Pungo River, early in the morning. Trusty crewman Taylor at the tiller of my 1964 Alberg 35. Kit 16-55 at 16mm on my X-T20.
