No, no... and...yes , the Flickr app would ask you to have access to your iPad folder with photos, but that doesn't mean it will publish them (unless you select them specifically for publishing afterwards)

The thing is, because you use your iPad, you cannot notice (due to the smaller screen size) how much the Pentax forums pixelates your images once you upload them here on larger display resolutions on computers people use to visit the forums. I am not quite sure what the donation unlocks, I thought there was an option to upload better IQ files after a donation.

You either export them from your iPad in a very low quality already before you publish them here (which you must correct by tweaking the export settings in the app you use to manage the files to begin with) or you export them in high quality just fine, but they get crushed afterwards by the Forums during the upload process here (so that the owner of the Forums conserves hard disk server space, which costs money).

Flicker would be a nice solution if you export them in HQ, then upload them there, then link the images from there to here in the post itself (which is what many of us do). For some reason the forums appear to be an IQ bottleneck even after a donation, perhaps?

I've never had flicker ask for permission to upload images...

I select the ones that I want uploaded and that's it....

i only seem to have the option to 'save image' or 'copy URL' on the ipad , on flickr. using the downloaded app.
maybe it is different on a desktop ?

but i do like being able to wirelessly transfer images from the xt1 , to ipad .
and ipad is convenient . instead of sitting in front of a monitor ...

so i don't know ....

takes me a while to 'get' some of this stuff.

to post an image from flickr, you'll need to use the BBCoding for the photo:

No worries - this may look different from mobile. When you click the share icon, as Pepperberry indicates, you should have an option to share/embed/email/BBcode. You need to click BBcode, select the size you want (I would not do more than ~1200pixels on the long side), copy the resulting link and paste here.
