you know, I've been reading reviews about the XF 60mm macro, but noticed that it's minimum focus distance is only 60cm - that's not that great for a macro lens.....

the Viltrox 56mm f1.4 focuses down that far and can be had new for the same/less money than a used XF 60...
According to this site:

Fujinon XF 60mm f/2.4 R Macro Review

The 60mm ƒ/2.4 R offers a magnification rating of 0.5x, allowing users to record images at half their actual size. Minimum close-focusing distance is 26.7cm, or around ten inches.

That's 1:2 magnification, so 50% of life-size, like the A series 50mm f/2.8 macro. 1:2 is not bad at all, but it depends on what you want to use it for. If it's for your usual style of close focus then I'm sure it'll be fine, it's just not for close-ups of bugs and stuff.

I'm not sure if this is absolute minimum focus for the A 50/2.8 macro but if not then it's very close (and un-cropped):

While this is closest focus for the Viltrox 56mm:

The camera's the same size as a K series Pentax. Close-focus is definitely not the 56mm's strong suite.

I see many pictures of street lights and lanterns of all types on Flickr . Wonder what the attraction is . They can add something to a shot though , I guess . Or are they just there .

My new to me Pentax A 400 F5.6 on my Fuji X-H1. Preliminary testing shows that it is in fact sharper and has better contrast than my Tokina 400mm F5.6.......More testing to follow once the sun comes out........

So , I have another question., one or more of you must know ; Can one adapt a modern Fuji autofocus lens , for the x mount , or even a gfx Fuji lens , to a Pentax k camera ? Granted it would be manual focus .

Why do these thoughts keep intruding on my brain ?

Not without optical correction, and X-mount is all electronic, focus by wire, electromagnetic aperture etc.

I'm late to the party (as usual), but the 60mm is an interesting beast. It is slow compared to the modern "fujichromes". Still adequate in my books.
Sharp but not insane. Bokeh quality is superb.

The downsides are the 0.5x Macro and the slight extension of the lens when powered (putting the 39mm filter on this is a pain). Capable of really good results though:
