Sharp but not insane. Bokeh quality is superb.

The downsides are the 0.5x Macro and the slight extension of the lens when powered (putting the 39mm filter on this is a pain). Capable of really good results though:

Pentax 400mm F5.6 with Fuji X-H1. So far this lens is fantastic. Sharp and contrasty! Not the best photo but when we get more sun I'll be out searching for better opportunities.

Have you noticed a difference between how your Pentax and Fuji handle CA & PF in older lenses?

I don't see hardly any at all using the Fuji whereas when I was shooting my Pentax K-3 it was much more noticeable.

I always thought the 200mm F4 were kind of sucky lenses, but that pic isn't too bad. I owned the Pentax DA*200mm F2.8 lens and it was one of the best lenses I ever owned.

Any thoughts on the amount of chromatic aberration you see with the A 400/5.6?

I’ve only had the lens for a few days now so I’ll need more time to make a definitive observation.
