Viewed in the pale light of late November, rockwork along the Yadkin River erected around 1823 for the prospective Bean Shoals Canal. This was part of a scheme to make the river navigable all the way to North Wilkesboro. By 1825 the investors threw in the towel and abandoned work. In the 1890s a railroad was built along the river and still runs along the planned canal course.

Fujifilm X-T20, Vivitar 19mm f3.9.

Did a quick handheld video for Instagram with the X-T3 and the 90mm f2 a couple days ago with my buddy Marina who was in town for the holidays. Not as stable or dynamic as using a stabilizer but I think it turned out pretty decent. Wanted to give the colors more pop so I shot in the Velvia profile.

I got some shots of this "display" outside an old building in Edinburgh last time I was there and went past again on my last trip, so tried to get some pictures of some of the other items.

X-T20 and 35/1.4.

I should have stopped down a bit for the boots shot, it's not too sharp and the further boots also contain cacti.

I went back and converted some shots in camera with stock B&W. Still like Acros sim for architecture. Agree that there is more tonality with the "classic B&W":

A couple of quick hand-held night shots taken on a very cold night in Edinburgh with the X-T20 and 18-55mm.

It's a local beer to me because they have a brewery up at Mills River in the mountains. Sierra Nevada likes the projectile motif, in addition to the Hop Bullet, they also have the Torpedo. Hop Bullet, as clearly labeled, is a double, and it hits you from the first sip. A lot of people say that all Sierra Nevada beers are good, but none are great. I'll have to disagree. Hop Bullet is great. But unfortunately, they are hard to find. I have yet to see them in a six-pack. All I have ever found have been in a twelve-pack sampler. The picture was taken with a Vivitar 19mm f3.8 on a Fujifilm X-T20 body.
