I picked up my poor neglected XE-1 today. I put the even more neglected Fuji 14mm on it and made a point of photographing wide and close. I should do this more often - I forget what a fine lens the 14mm is, and why I sold my SMC 15mm.

Some very nice shots! Hey, I see you are using Silkypix - colours look great.

Just curious about your sharpening settings, if you are keen to share. I am having more luck that with LR (but was lazy with the shots I just posted). If I try and sharpen too much in Silkypix, I get a lot of blocky artefacts. Your shots don`t seem to show this, and I am curious if you have better settings and/or understand the program better.

For Silkypix, I am getting the best results (not-blocky) using:
Outline Emphasis: 7
Detail Emphasis: 75
False Outline Control: 0
(NR set off, except colour)
Demosaic: 95
Many thanks.

For my Fuji shots I use RAW FILE CONVERTER EX 2.0 powered by Silkypix, which is the "official" Fuji software. As Pentax do, they work with Silkypix to produce it but the software in design is quite different (and harder to use) than the Pentax version. Still, it seems to work OK. It's very rare for me to touch sharpening settings on any of my digital cameras, I leave them on default 99.99% of the time. I only play with sharpening when I'm dealing with scanned film negatives.

I've had the Sigma mini-wide 28mm f/2.8 on my X-M1 the last couple of days. It's a very nice combination and can lead to some very pleasant flare effects if used carefully.

Sorry,I should have made it clearer - I am also using the "bundled" RFC EX 2.0. In fact I am also using the panasonic version of the bundled silkypix product as well (although LR plays nice with those RAW files). I haven't played with the Pentax version in quite some time. However, since LR is OK with both of these, there is no need to.

There is definitely a learning curve....

Here are a couple more with the X-M1 and Sigma 28/2.8. I'm starting to really enjoy this lens - the close focus ability is impressive and extremely useful.

For the other Fuji users here, there are firmware updates for most of the cameras:

Digital Camera Firmware : Interchangeable Camera Body / Lens | Fujifilm Global

For the A1, A2 and M1 the only change seems to be "Supports focus limiter function for XF100-400mmF4.5-5.6 R LM OIS WR" so I won't bother as I have no Fuji lenses and if I ever buy one it will be a standard prime of some sort, not a long zoom.

I may have a new favourite: RawTherapee. Outstanding clarity (I have to turn the sharpening WAY down). The free presets are pretty awesome, also.

Here are some test shots from my two newly-acquired A lenses, the 28/2.8 (first two) and the 50/2.8 macro. All taken on the Fuji X-M1.

I went through some shots from Paris earlier in the year (still need to properly organise them). These were all taken on the Fujifilm X-M1 with the DA 21mm.
