Originally posted by Jonathan Mac I agree entirely. While a lot of the Fujifilm look is due to their superb jpeg engine, good sensors are good sensors, and some of the credit should go there. The 16MP one in the X-M1 and other early X-series cameras is superb, better than the 24MP one in the X-T20 I bought later. Rendering is better, high ISO is better. I bought the X-T20 mainly as I'd decided I'd really like a viewfinder, though originally I was looking for an X-T10 or X-E2, which would have satisfied that want while keeping the better 16MP sensor, but the other extras the X-T20 had made me decide to pay extra and go for that one. If I could get that sensor in the X-T20 body it'd be great, despite the loss in resolution.
The X-M1 is a wonderful camera and if it weren't for the lack of a viewfinder I imagine I'd still be using it as my main Fujifilm camera.
The images you get with that x-t20 , and others here with various fuji models , still great , it was like with the pentax k200 , there was something special about that sensor too , one camera i should have kept . Was that one . thing is , Or seems to be , unlike film cameras , these digital electronics ... how long will they go for ? At least with film cameras ,,, as long as there’s Eric Hendrickson .... . he’s gotta just keep on forever and ....
If the gxf or fgx or xgf or whatever it is weren't so darned expensive , i’d be getting that .... then there’s Lenses ... more old lenses to research.... theres the weight ... a tripod.....
But that k200 ......
