Thank you . The states are so big , and diverse. The east so different from the west , and south, for that matter .
The west so open , the east more closed... somehow ... it sometimes is even reflected in the people ... seemingly ....

thanks Glinda, my father was a geologist (searched for uranium), once upon a time, during school holidays (it was a long time ago), I came to my father, we walked the routes, my father showed me different minerals and a drill string ... it was a good time. .. I also wanted to become a geologist, but my father forbade me because it was far from civilization, as he said - "Life As A Dog" ... I obeyed my father ... but from childhood all this was close to me, I didn’t know another life, I always liked wild spaces (as far from cities as possible) ... mountains, prairies and endless starry sky..

Fuji X-E1 + XF50/2

Is that minimum focus distance on the 50mm? How do you find the lens overall? I ask because I want a longer prime for my Fujifilm - currently I have 18/2, 23/2, 35/1.4 and 18-55/2.8-4 - and was ready to go for a 50/2 when news of the upcoming Tokina 56/1.4 appeared. In principle I'd prefer the Tokina as it's a stop faster and a bit longer, but it remains to be seen how the build and optical quality will be, or if it will have any compatibility problems with the Fujifilm cameras. It looks like they'll be based on* the Viltrox lenses and the 23/1.4 is apparently not great.



*exactly the same? Same optical formula with Tokina coatings? Same optical formula with Tokina-made body?

Yes that photo was taken pretty much at MFD. It’s new to me so I really haven’t put it through its paces yet but so far I’m liking the results I’m getting. I’d prefer faster too but for the $ I think it’s a sturdy reliable lens that I’ll keep.

Is it a little softer ?

The 56 is definitely softer but that's to be expected since the 90 is one of sharpest lenses that Fujifilm makes outside of the 80mm macro.
