I picked up a Fuji X-E2 from KEH just this past week at a bargain price of under $300. I've got 4 old Asahi SMC Takumars and a Yashica Yashinon all M42 screwmounts. I've also got an old Nikon Nikkor 200mm F mount. I'll be adapting all of these to the Fuji. So far playing with a couple of the lenses I've gotten amazing results! Going through the menu system of the Fuji and setting it all up now. It's really an amazing camera and I expect to be posting some pictures soon.

Great results! I've just recently picked up a used X-E2 and am in the process of setting it up. Excited to adapt the old M42 Screwmount lenses along with an older Nikon Nikkor I have. I especially like the one shot with the leaf!
Welcome to club Fujifilm X!!

Do your M42 Yashinons have an A/M switch to be able to stop them down when used on a camera other than an M42 native mount? I have only one Yashinon lens (a 50/1.4) which is very good indeed, but only has auto mode so without some kind of "hack" it can only be used wide open on a non-M42 camera.

Here are a few shots from my recently-acquired 18mm f/2. I'm pretty happy with it so far, though it does seem to struggle to focus more in low light than the 35/1.4. I need to check which firmware it has and update if necessary.

It feels weird to have a wide-angle on the Fuji, I'm used to either 35 or 50mm.

Both night shots were taken wide open.

Very good - it looks like you are getting used to it pretty quick, though.

Was playing around with my new XT2 and 50mm f2.0 this weekend. The 35mm f2.0 did a little bit of work too...I'm gonna get rid of the 50 and go 56 right away I think. The 50 is a nice lens, but the extra DOF control and the rendering of the 56 felt nicer when I had one before.

That's a very nice set of captures you have!
I have just the one Yashica Auto Yashinon 50mm F/2. There is no auto/manual switch but there are no issues in stopping the lens down with the aperture dial which is on the front of the lens. I use the Fotasy M42-FX adapter for all of my M42 lenses. The 4 Asahi lenses do have the switch. Another thing is that the Fotasy adapter has a removable lip which is necessary with some of the screwmounts I have.
I don't have any pictures to share currently

Is there a thread here for people using Fuji X series cameras, especially with old lenses such as Pentax K or M42?

I ask because I might be getting one soon and thought there might be people here already using them.
This is the place! I'll post a picture on the thread of my X-E2 and it's accompanyment of old film era lenses.

I just ordered the Panasonic ZS100 yesterday , Amazon got a lightning deal at $489 instead of $649. Perfect camera for traveling light to complement my K-5

Awk! That's very tempting. MUCH cheaper in the US than Canada, right now.

i just picked up one of the lenses offered for fuji-x fitment from the chinese company '7artisans'. This is a 25mm f1.8 manual focus lens and in the UK its available for
around £55.

First impressions are good, its nice and sharp in the centre but does have some fall-off towards the edges - being a 25mm its nice and wide (great for street work) but also it has a nice close focus capability as well. Here is a selection of shots so far..
