I admit I have no clue what you are referring to, but I take it as a compliment

Jonathan,
Do you, or the other X users, find the lack of IBIS to be a problem? Or are all of your lenses stabilized?

It was meant as a compliment. Here is a link: Midnight Diner: Tokyo Stories | Netflix Official Site We've watched it twice.

I have the Fuji 15-45mm kit lens on my X-T100, and it works great. That's a fairly wide lens, so stabilization isn't that much of an issue, but I'm sure it gains me a couple stops.
When I use my K-mount or M42 lenses with an adaptor and am shooting handheld, the best I can do and achieve semi-reliable results is about 135mm.

You should also be aware that using focus peaking with the zoom in option is a bit of a problem with non-stabilized lenses because things can get rather jumpy in the EVF or on the screen.
Of course, using a tripod would make it possible to use just about any focal length.

I haven't found the lack of IBIS to be a problem at all with what I shoot and I put this down to several factors:

- The Fujifilm lenses are so sharp that it's easy to take sharp images stopping down less than would be needed for other systems.
- I rarely shoot anything longer than 50mm, especially on the Fujifilm.
- The Fujifilm's base ISO is 200, not 100 like most cameras, so that provides an extra stop to use faster shutter speeds as base ISO.

For example, where I might take a shot at ISO 100 and f/5.6 on my K-3, I can take the same shot at four times the shutter speed at ISO 200 and f/4 on the Fujifilm. Depth of field would differ slightly obviously, and it would depend on the lenses being used, but as an example of why IBIS is less beneficial in some cases, it serves.

I only have 2 Fuji lens, a 27mm (no stab) and the kit zoom which is stabilized and I would say for stills it's not much of a big deal unless you need to go below 1/100 or 1/80sec. I can shoot really slow Shutter speed with my K1 like 1/10 and have good results so IBIS on some situation is a big +.
When I use Pentax lenses on my Fuji I miss the IBIS on longer lens but my main purpose for my XT20 is street photography with the 27mm or wider, and I'd rather bump the ISO and keep a pretty fast SS of 1/500 or even 1/1000sec.

For video though it's almost impossible to shoot with no stabilzed lenses, which was a big disapointment for me.

Thanks to everyone for the comments about the IBIS. Your results were in line with what I thought would be the case, but I've had IBIS with Pentax for so long that I wanted to check.
