That's how I get almost all photos off my cameras these days.

I have the x-pro 1 , too , all adapted lenses.

I find the camera fun
However the black and white images seem not to give me the real blacks Xt1 is better,
Yet something nice about the images in general from the x pro 1

Any solution to that ( in camera I mean ) To getter more black and white vs gray and white ?

Anyone know what I’m talking about ?

I’m not big on post processing.
Just not fun

I don't know what the available settings are in that camera, but my Fuji cameras allow for custom adjustments of colour, highlight and shadow tones, with the last two being instead of the "contrast" setting you'd find on most other cameras. I remember that I have the colour set to -1 but not sure what I have the highlight and shadow settings at. To make dark greys black, increase the shadow tone, assuming you have that option.

Actually this is quite the ‘ thread ‘ you started here, been reading through some of the first pages .. there’s something nice about these Fuji cameras. And images.

( The feel of a Pentax Mx or Me super , almost there. ... what is it about a film camera that is just like no other experience .? ... Fuji seems close , close as possible I guess )

I haven't tried digital cameras from all brands, not even close, but of the ones I have Fujifilm make the ones that give the best approximation of using a nice film camera, in both feel and results. That's a mighty combination and very enjoyable.

Many others agree and I suspect even the FF mirrorless cameras don't have that going for them.

Hi. Have you tried the different "film" filter settings for in-camera B&W ... red filter, green & yellow?

I am assuming that he X-Pro would have these options like my X-E1, etc.

Thanks , x pro does have those settings , so far hasn’t seemed to make much difference , but probably would in the right types of light/ scene..
I’m experimenting

Oh , there’s a setting for electronic , mechanical , and also electronic and mechanical , on the xt1...
I’ve been reading about electronic shutter.. what is the point of using the combination I wonder,
Haven’t yet found a good explanation . One can get lost in the technology ....

Just wondering
No big deal...

That pic could be cropped ( and I know . It’s my dog ... a beautiful girl portrait is always better.. but an example of how much more black I can get with the xt1 , vs x pro 1
......

At least on my X-T20 the electronic shutter takes over once I hit the limit of the 1/4000s mechanical shutter speed to provide a good exposure. It's very handy when I want to use a large aperture on a sunny day. I keep it on the combination setting and the only time I've ever taken it off that was when I wanted to shoot quietly without the mechanical shutter noise.
