Wow, it certainly seems that way. This lens isn't too high my list as it's wider than I'd usually use and I have the 18/2, but this shot is impressive.

35/1.4 wide open

This in fascinating to me , how did you alter the 110 lens, i have the 50/2.8 but there’s no aperture rings on these otherwise great little lenses — wide open all the time if I remember correctly. On the fuji.

Many thanks. It's just the right pastel shade to work well with a Fujifilm camera, or on film.

Here's another from the X-T20 and 35/1.4, though this time stopped down a little for once, and manually focused. A few good thumps on the duvet to raise some dust to get caught in the evening window light that comes in at that time.

I received another lens in the post, today .
Disappointing . Not very good.
I guess it makes the good ones all that much more special...

Then I thought , who would understand about lenses ....... And who could i possibly tell ....

This shot , with the flecks .. dust , i bet would look good in black and white , too.

Hi. I altered the 18 by opening it up - 3 screws if memory serves me correctly - and then I added a home-made aperture disc between the front element group and the rear.

It was a piece of black electrical tape (almost matte) and the hole for the diaphragm was made with a hole hobby shop/crafts shop hole punch that I bought especially for this use. It had about the hole size that I was wanting (maybe f/8++) and it was less than 4€, so why not. Easier than trying to cut a hole by hand with an Exacto blade.

I positioned at center as best that I could eye it and then reassembled. Ta da! And just FYI, I tried an experiment where I added an addition aperture disc stuck to the outside of the rear element. No good. Lot more hard vignette than I wanted.

My next project will be to try the same internal aperture disc with my second copy of the Pentax-110 50/2.8 lens ... I will post later on results once done & tested. Cheers, J

I tried something similar to close down the aperture On the rear element , i remember now... but it wasn't internal as you've done.. that’s more brave ....

Some day I would like to pick up the 16mm. Both the 1.4 and the 2.8 would be nice.
