How do you like the H1 . Pbancr ?
Still debating whether the x-h1 will be a keeper. I like the ibis and the lenses....but I’m already heavily invested in Pentax gear. Will see over the next few months how frequently I reach for it!

I don't think I've ever used the 43mm on a Fujifilm, no. I had it on the K3 yesterday but I've used it on film bodies more than anything else since I got it.

I see virtually no difference between the two shots.
On the upper shot reds are much stronger and more purple, also skin tone is somehow rude (you can click on the image here and enlarge it in flickr). It's kinda my personal story, I struggled for 3 years to make my Fuji RAW pics look natural, now finally I know how to do that. Standard X-T20 profile in C1 is good in some situations, but delivers reddish skin tones and weird colours of sunsets. The one from the shot below makes reds look more natural (for me). Also contrast is lower and pics don't look cartoonish (as with the standard profile). I may say, pics gain Pentax look.

43 lim is my universal lens on K-1, it can shoot practically everything from portraits to landscape, I usually prefer 43 lim's wider angle of view to any of 50mm lenses.

Does it have that 3d , or whatever it is , effect , the 43 ? How is it to manual focus ?
I like the m 40/2.8 , but it’s bokeh is ......
I had the da 40 , it’s a good lens too . But I get bored with autofocus, and it can be frustrating ... that’s just me though . There’s a time for auto , and manual , too ..

It seems it has, especially while focusing on close subjects at f2.2-3.5. MF is good though worse than on MF lenses.

There has to be something valid to that 3d stuff..
you think so ?

Some images with certain lenses, seem to have it , not quite sure why .

This picture sums up many of the advantages of the Fuji X system. The sensor in my X-T20 has a reputation for good high ISO performance, and this picture was taken on a dark, cloudy day at ISO 3200. The crop sensor uses just the middle, best part of any lens designed for full frame, and this shot has a fair degree of additional cropping in post, so I'm getting the very best out of an ancient Vivitar 19mm lens that has a reputation for distortion toward the corners. Being able to use this lens at all, in a Nikon F mount, is one of the greatest advantages to me of the short registration Fuji X mount. And finally, while I usually shoot raw, I reprocessed this one using the very simple and convenient in-camera raw converter. One more thing - the Provia film emulation gives colors that I like, especially skin colors.

The 4 new lenses have been revealed.

Firstly the 2 newbies. 50mm f1.0

and 70-300 f4-5.6

Then version 2 of 27mm f2.8

and 10-24mm f4

No details yet of how the version 2 differ from the originals.

I understand that the 27mm will have an aperture ring. I've seen pictures that show one, if they're fake then they're very good fake. Makes me glad I haven't gotten one so far as I do like to use the aperture ring on my Fuji lenses, though I still can't really justify the 27mm as I have the 23/2, 35/1.4 and 18-55. The only possible justification would be size.

The 50mm is massive and in my opinion they should have (a) made it a bit longer and replaced the 56/1.2 or (b) stuck with the original plan of making it a 35mm and having a world-class super-fast standard prime (though the 35/1.4 is superb anyway). Not that I will ever have an f/1.0 as they'll be far too pricey.

70-300mm lenses aren't my thing largely because they make me think of poor quality third party optics but I can imagine a Fujifilm one might be pretty good and would be a more modern design than the likes of Sigma and Tamron, plus possibly smaller as it'll be made for APS-C rather than FF.

It looks like a good lens , Even if heavy and expensive ....
Would have thought they would have tried to reduce its size.

But what do i know ...
.. you know that quote: ‘ the more I know , the less I know.... ‘ or something like that ....
