Here's one I shot in raw and then used the in-camera converter to turn it into a jpg. Sometimes the converter is better than anything I can do with RawTherapee.

On a broad reach down the Pungo River, early in the morning. Trusty crewman Taylor at the tiller of my 1964 Alberg 35. Kit 16-55 at 16mm on my X-T20.

use the workflow that works for you - I'm not taking photos for other people - this is my hobby and it works for me....
Ha! Yeah fair enough, and yes, each to their own.

Enjoy your new purchase. Lovely to use with old Pentax lenses and all those accessible dials on the top of the camera.

I am also getting used to using JPEG with my Fuji gear as my rather old version of Lightroom does not handle Fuji raw files very well. Shock, horror I have also been using it in full A mode with Fuji lenses and the results are good.

Still a stick in the mud with my Pentax gear using raw and either AV or TAV mode.

I do have a question about the X-T2

any suggestions about a good manual for the camera beyond the factory one?

Ken Wheeler, aka the Angry Photographer has an Ebook for free download. Its a very practical assessment of using Fujis

FUJIFILM CAMERA TRICKS & TIPS : Kenneth L. Wheeler : Free Download, Borrow, and Streaming : Internet Archive

Also on the Fuji forum, there is a specific part that caters for adapted lenses.Lots of experienced people there with pleny of vintage glass.
