Tokina 100-300mm zoom or Tokina 300mm prime....?
I own the 100-300 Zoom along with the Tokina 400mm Prime. This shot was taken at 300mm with the Tokina 100-300 zoom.

I was thinking out loud as to whether I should consider the zoom or the prime...

The Zoom gets much better reviews than the 300mm Prime. I would opt for the 100-300 Zoom over the 300 or 400 Tokina prime. The Zoom's focus is very smooth and has plenty of range.

Here's a shot I took today along the Mississippi River using the Tokina SL 400mm Prime lens. I used my Fuji X-H1 along with Capture 1 to edit. The photo is sharp in the foreground while the background becomes a slight blur.

Not bad for a 40 dollar lens eh?

Fuji X-H1 with the Tokina AT-X SD 100-300mm F4 Zoom. I loved this lens on my Pentax K-5 and equally as well on my Fuji X-H1.

The stand alone price of the 70-300mm is U$D 799

I was expecting at least 1000,so pleasant news.Looks like the L Canon 70-300 will fund it.

27mm will be 399,I'll be selling 2 out of the 3 x27s that I have!
Why would you have three copies of the same lens? I'm assuming they're the same as I'm not aware of any other 27mm lenses.

I wish I could say I planned that . Shot into the light on some of these lenses , never know what could come of it ... well — within reason
