Infrared , converted ?
my xe1 has been converted to shoot infrared at 720nm.
it can do limited colour infrared but inlike it best for monochrome . i would love to convert a camera to true monochrome sensor but it is $1600 USD. I may save and convert the xpro2 as it would be such a perfect pure b/w camera . infrared conversions are much less expensive about 600

Have you seen any images taken with a pure monochrome , not the leica, I had heard of that , they remove some covering filter . ( Maybe that x trans part ? )
Would it be worth it , are the pics that much better ? Gee I need a ton a money .... to do all this fun stuff ...

[ can we lobby to get a camera relief stimulus package ? ]

They remove the xtrans or bayer layer (depending on the sensor.) the sensor at it's base level is monochrome . acuity and sharpness improves dramatically as all pixels are in use throught the image to simplify. MAXMAX site has a detailed paper and some samples

Debayer Study

you can buy already converted cameras though if you have older bodies or find a good used it may be cheaper to convert your own (my plan some decade)

Picked up the GF45-100 and the GF110 yesterday while the massive price drop is on . Holy smokes the 110 is sharp. (well both are actually) the biggest flaw with the GF110 is people will expect me to hire beautiful models like @lerolls with what is probably the best portrait lens on the planet now in my arsenal. for now my main model will be Blu, but when restrictions loosen I have a few friends i want to shoot

I’m pretty sure those are just Lerolls sisters. No way could he get that many gorgeous models to pose for him.
Who is Blu if I may ask?
