your exact words were "Japanese companies can launch products at CP+ but samsung doesn't go there."

and i responded that sony also didn't announce cameras at that show, which clearly proved that your comment about the behavior of japanese companies was wrong.
according to your reasoning if one raindrop doesn't fall on your head it doesn't rain.

Samsung mirrorless looks like it's dead.

I assume you are trying to troll me some more, alas I've put you on my ignore list. By the way, there are no NX camera's on the Samsung stand at ces whatsoever.

They still aren't exactly cheap.

I wouldn't buy NX lenses at this point. A NX body is a different story, as you can basically mount any lens on it -- assuming you have the right adapter and don't mind manual focus. But I don't know what other camera bodies you could actually mount the NX lenses on if Samsung shuts down the NX line -- and they would be super expensive for manual focus lenses anyway, even if you could mount them on a Sony E mount camera.

The best strategy is probably to get a few new nx-1 bodies and wait for stuf to appear on ebay.

I had two of the three Mini NX lenses - I sniffed something in the air about Samsung and bought the f1.8 prime while I could.

I came very close to buying the NX500 in the last few days - Amazon Canada had them at $529, now sold out, and BestBuy liquidated their last ones for $500 (all Canadian dollars) - but finally opted not to because, well, I'm happy enough with Pentax for now and even with just a few lenses it still would have amounted to a significant investment (for me)...

Sony BSI will leapfrog Samsung's APS-C sensor shortly.

FWIW, in Australia, one of the major online retailers (Digital Camera Warehouse) now no longer lists Samsung bodies, and has Samsung-made NX lenses listed as 'run-out - this item is no longer produced'.

Samsung isn't going anywhere you guys. They are simply scaling things back. I have emailed them about this and have denied it, even implied that new firmware will be released soon. The NX1 is more innovative than perhaps any camera that has been released within the last decade. Maybe thats why there are so many people jumping on the band wagon. Pentax could take a hint from Samsung. Perhaps not one of the best marketed things ever but one of the damn coolest things in the photography world in a long time.
