My personal followup and initial report:

I'll continue with more Pentax impressions there, and here I'll add some comparisons with more Fuji details.
What's pleasantly surprising about Pentax lenses compared to Fuji...
-- Pentax lenses come with pouches. Fuji's ones come at most with a cloth bag.
-- Fuji lenses have apertures in constant motion. This is by design. When you close a lid, which I always do, the apertures open wide. When you remove the lid, they close down, but the sensor takes a second or two to darken. If you are using an optical viewfinder, such as X-Pro1 or X100*, you may not notice it and if you take a photo right after removing lens cap it may come out washed out. I like the fact I can remove a lid from Pentax lens and take a photo at once in any light.
-- Fuji lenses are focused by wire, and they've became very very good at it. The focus ring feels natural and even better than some manual ones. Fuji focusing is now sometimes as fast or faster than some of the screwdrive Pentax lenses. Since my original X100 in 2011, when focus by wire was quirky, the progress is huge.
-- Fuji autofocus on X-T1 is often as good as Pentax on K-3II, and sometimes faster, but sometimes slower. Firmware 4.00 on X-T1 was a gigantic leap forward.
Tomorrow Fuji will launch what looks like X-Pro2, and we'll see how that one compares!
